After about 3 months of launching this blog , I joined Twitter today and I am already addicted.
Below are 6 reasons I am glad I joined.
– Building a community :
To be successful on the internet or in any business you need to build a community or a network , The larger your Network the greater your Net Worth.
Twitter allows you to build you own community and network with co bloggers.
– Building awareness for my blog :
More awareness = more traffic = more money. You need to look at different avenues to get more traffic and usability for your blog.
Twitter helps you build the much needed awareness for your blog.
– Following my readers :
I recognize that many of my readers are on Twitter and it becomes important for me to follow them and be a part of the online community.
Twitter helps me follow my readers and keeps me updated about their interests and activities. To become a great leader, you need to be a good follower.
– Getting more reader interaction:
A blog with a lot of comments builds greater interactivity and involvement. I love responding to comments on my blog.
Twitter helps me comment on my readers activities, thus building a larger community.

– You get 140 characters or less to make an impact :
No one has time to go through long posts, the 140 characters forces me to be brief and creative in communicating with my readers.
– Twittering is Addictive :
You need to be a part of the community to experience the addictiveness of Twitter.

Twitter is a cool way to interact with people that for sure. I try to use it as much as I can when doing stuff expect for about few weeks ago when I got suspended for spamming so they say..

i love twitter as well because its such a great website. You can basically put your whole life on twitter and people would consider it interesting which i find really interesting.

If one twits about nothing else than his blog posts, then I’d consider it spamming. But its impossible to do link building on twitter, since the links are shortened. The only place to show your link is in your profile. The best thing we can do is have fun. ๐

The majority of the MarketLeverage staff is on Twitter. We love it because it provides us with the opportunity to communicate with our affiliates, and with one another. Also, it’s just a forum for us to get to know our affiliates better and vice versa. I agree with what you said in your post: Twitter IS addicting. Great post!

I agree twitter is addictive
3 months! That’s it! Looks like it’s been live a lot longer, congrats on getting a quality blog going. This is deffinately one of my top blogs, please check mine out too after Friday, and I hope too see you commenting on there like I do on yours! ๐
ZK, so glad you noticed our Twitter efforts. We have become Twitter fiends lately. Besides keeping up with each other, we really enjoy getting to know a different size to our Publishers, a more personal side. It feels like we are part of a large, supportive community. I’m glad you’re a fan of Twitter as well!

Hi Blogging Banks : Twitter is my second largest source of sending Traffic after Google and its just been less than 10 days I started using Twitter. I am still a newbie on Twitter , this just shows that you dont have to have a large audience to get Traffic from Twitter, infact Twitter will help you get that large share of new users and traffic. I highly recommend you to join it even if you dont have any traffic on your blog.

To be frank, Twitter good performing in Google organic result.

I’ve got Facebook, Myspace, Linked In, and Twitter. I signed up for Bebo last year without even remembering that I’d done so, and I can’t find any contacts on that one. I’ve only looked at Linked In a few time so far. Twitter doesn’t have all the applications of the other sites.

I personally can see the only reason to join would be for news info but as far as what my friend is doing randomly through out the day is stupid. I’d rather have a actual conversation with a person than a Twitter update. Thanks everyone for your in put!
Twitter can build up a large community and i think this is the perfect reson to join it.
My issue with Twitter is the small amount of characters that you can use. While I understand it’s a microblogging tool, I have to really pick and choose my info to best communicate it. That’s a skill that i ahven’t really mastered all that well yet.
Wow, I didnโt know this existed. Will be a great complement to pandora.
