google crome

Google Chrome is quickly becoming the top choice of browsers, it seems to have made an impact with users on the speed proposition and superior webkit layout technology.

Chrome Extensions / add ons have become a critical part of the browser. Below are five cool Google Chrome Extensions that you should download.

1. Cooliris

If you are interested in viewing photos in 3-D mode, this extension is for you. It will make all photos present in the browser in 3-D mode. How cool is that :). You can also see your desktop photos in 3-D mode.

2.Youtube Downloader

Youtube: Chome has this cool extension where you can download youtube videos directly to your desktop, so no using third party websites to download youtube videos. With this extension download youtube video directly to your desktop 🙂 Awesome.

3. Internet Explorer Tab

Ever tried using one browser in another browser? Google just did it by introducing this extension, now you can use Internet Explorer tab in Chrome by installing this extension. It will help you see sites which are specific for Internet Explorer.

4. Ad Block

A lot of times pop-up ads are very annoying, this extension has been downloaded many times and it’s very effective against pop-up ads. Download and enable this extension to enjoy pop up free surfing.

5. Chromed Bird

A handy plugin for Twitter addicts like me, it helps you share your short messaged easily and quickly. Twitter bird is a cool plugin to get updated on new tweets right in your browser, you don’t need to login to your account to view tweets.

  • Komodo Dragon January 29, 2011, 2:54 am

Chrome is definitely the fastest browser out there right now and probably the most efficient too but I still continue to use Firefox alongside it because of the add-ons like Videodownloadhelper or Copyallurls and others like it. I wish Google would allow bit more freedom in add-ons among its users too. But on the other hand, that might bog it down just like Firefox too, so it’s a catch-22 situation.

    • FirstHosting February 1, 2011, 10:07 am

I personally like firefox, because it really don’t have any bugs, and new updating is coming as well.

    • used tires February 2, 2011, 9:38 pm

@Komodo I agree with your sentiments, which is why I use Chrome half of the time, and the other half I use with Firefox. I am sure over time more freedom and more addons will come out that will make me switch full time!

  • Shailender @ Romantic Getaways January 29, 2011, 4:42 am

I assume this extension to embed jQuery into Chrome Console as simple as you can imagine will increase your positive emotions on the Chrome power! This extension also indocates if jQuery has been already embeded into page.

I’ve only added a few extensions to Chrome, but they often seem like hurriedly done ports to get in on the Chrome action. The same add-ons in Firefox have a much smoother, native feel to them. Try Delicious or Lastpass, for example. I am sure they will get better over time, but for now the Chrome world is too fragile for me to make it my primary browsing experience.
