The paradox of choices

Choice is awesome.

It means that I have the option of more than one and I have the option to choose what I want – Isn’t it amazing ? You always want to have choices in life. The more choices people have, the more freedom they have and the more freedom they have the more wealth they have.

Go to a super market and you have a choice to pick up the type of soup that you want – Tomato, Mushroom, Chicken, Carrot and even Coffee based soups.

Go to your nearest Apple store and you have a choice of iphones starting from 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB.

Everywhere you go and everything you do – Life is a matter of choice.

But has this increasing number of choices left us paralyzed to make a decision ?

In this fascinating 20 minute video, Psychologist Barry Schwartz tells us how these increasing choices have actually left us feeling more dissatisfied and unhappy.

I love choices in life, but after watching the video I’ve realized that less is more. What do you think about this video ?

Is less more…

Have a Super Sunday and a Great Weekend Ahead

This means i always have the choice of more than just one in addition to My partner and i have the choice to pick what exactly I would like – Isn’t the idea incredible? You generally are looking for alternatives inside living. A lot more alternatives men and women have, greater overall flexibility they’ve along with the more overall flexibility they’ve greater success they’ve

    hey ZK

that’s an interesting article… I’ve read before (and knew from experience in the marketing/selling field) about the paradox of choice, and how multiple options actually paralyze and confuse the client/buyer/person looking for one alternative…

You say… “Go to a super market and you have a choice to pick up the type of soup that you want – Tomato, Mushroom, Chicken, Carrot and even Coffee based soups.” Is this really freedom?

I think true freedom comes with full customization. If I cannot customize my blog, my clothes, my car exactly how I want it, then I have just some limited options and alternatives…

On this regard, I’d say… YES, less is more, but customization is better! 🙂

    What do you guys think?
