John Lennon Google Doodle

John Lennon

“You may say I’m a dreamer , but I am not the only one”

Today’s Google Doodle pays tribute to one of the world’s greatest dreamers – John Lennon.

The Google Doodle celebrates John Lennon’s 70th birthday by doing it very differently. It’s not the regular doodle logo but an animated You Tube video clip featuring the dreamer himself. When you click on the logo it plays the video and then after the short video takes you the search results for John Lennon.

It would be great if we could set it as a Google theme 🙂 , its a good concept you should write to Google about this..

      • Alex Dumitru October 11, 2010, 1:41 pm

Google already has the option to set themes, though I don’t know if this one is available.

I agree, it is a little out of the ordinary but then again he was a big dreamer so they must of had to think outside of the box. Aren’t we all big dreamers, but i guess his is not a dream anymore, check out my site for web traffic and SEO help(my dream site). BTW good posting ZK

It’s a pretty sweet Google Doodle, I think its the first time we’ve seen it turn into a youtube clip like that. By the way, I find it funny that you can’t see the # of views the video has on youtube….. well at least not right now.

    Till then,

Google may reveal it at a later date…it would be good to know how many saw the video..I am sure that the numbers will be big 🙂

@ZK, well I sure hope they do! And if they do I hope you can report it to us as you will probably find out way before me, haha. But if Google is smart… they are likely going to keep that data private

        Till then,

Pretty cool doodle, but I wonder how they decide who and what to feature in their special logos. It becomes a bit of a political game by honoring certain things but not others.

I can’t believe I missed this. Although I saw a lot of Google’s custom logos over the past few months I didn’t get to see this so thank you for sharing it. The animated ones really look nice.

I missed the fact there was a video. I think it is really cool. What a neat way to honor him.
