3 Methods to Get Large Number of High Quality Backlinks

In order to be successful in your online business, you need high volume of steady and targeted traffic to your websites. This is possible by getting the high rankings in search engines for your target keywords.

There are many factors that determine which website will qualify for the top search engine ranking, for a specific keyword. But the most important factor is the number of high quality backlinks to your website. If you are able to get a good number of keyword anchored backlinks to your website, your website will be ranking higher for that keyword.

In this article I will talk about 3 methods to get a large number of high quality backlinks to your website.

Using WordPress Themes to Get Backlinks:

This is a great method to get plenty of backlinks from different websites, all over the world. The idea is really simple. You need to hire a good graphic designer to create a new, slick, modern and premium quality word press theme. After theme is designed, add your website link with proper anchor text in the footer of the theme. Your theme is ready and now you need to spread it for free. Due to high quality and good design your theme will be picked and used by large number of bloggers, with your website link in the footer. In this way, your website link will be up on large number of websites with very little effort and in very less time.

Become a Top Commentator:

There is a famous word press plugin, called Top Commentators. This plugin makes a list of top 7 or top 10 persons who have highest number of approved comments on the blog. This list is then displayed on all pages of the blog. The Top Commentators plugin is also used by this blog, you can check the top commentators on the right hand side of this blog.

Suppose there is PR5 blog with 200 posts and you are in the list of top commentators. It means that your link will be up on all 200 pages of that PR5 blog. This is a very simple and fun method to get a large number of high PR backlinks. It is recommended that you should choose the high PR blogs with large number of posts, to get maximum benefit.

You will only be successful with this method if you know how to properly comment on the blog posts. If your comment will be useful, related to post and written after reading the post, it will be published by the blog owner. The spam comments are of no use for you and for the blog owner.

Become a Guest Blogger:

Guest blogging is very famous among top bloggers. If you have good and first hand knowledge about your topic then your posts will be welcomed and published by other bloggers. This is the good and easy way to get many high PR and authority backlinks to your website, with very little efforts. Hi Imran, Article Pages; You write a text and add in the 50 article archives by 2-3 back links to your site. What you need to do is register and then you just carry on. There are usually no requirements on the quality of the article so it is easier than to guest blog.

What I mean is: You should not put in the exact same article and the title 50 times. You should write a BASIC article and title, but then change a little bit every time the title and in the article in all 50 articles, which is very easy to do.

I used to submit articles to directories and they didn't produce the desired effect. As for the methods mentioned in the article, they all work, but designing a popular Wordpress theme is easier said than done: given the modern quality standards, you'll need to invest a good amount of money and time into developing and promoting a theme, and the success is not guaranteed. Becoming a top commentator on a popular blog may be the easiest of these 3 methods, but such lists are updated weekly, so you'll need to comment a lot every week to keep your link on all those high ranking pages.

Article writing would produce results but it might nit be immediate whereas guestblogging would attend to a specific niche and a growing community, therefore I think guest blogging pays better but it more demanding...

Article marketing may be easier than guest posting, but it has much lower benefits. With a guest blogpost you really get to take advantage of that blog's existing traffic. With article marketing, your articles get buried deep within huge article directories.

The higher the quality backlinks the more “authority” the link has. It’s from experience that we know the better the quality of backlink the more impact it will have on your search engine optimization.

Although maybe not as great as the three methods you listed Imran, I like press releases (although they can be difficult to write at times), document sharing (depends on the site), and tube mogul for those of us who like to use video :) By the way that is the first time I have ever heard of having a wordpress theme created with a link to your site. I agree that press releases are a great link building strategy too. There are countless press release sites that will republish your news and give you more links. It can be tough to come up with something newsworthy to report though. It's not going to be as worthwhile to send out some junk press release that nobody is interested in.

Press realease is a great method for a site to get linkbacks, it has very solid advantages to improve your ranking. 1) Google values it more than other link building activities it sees it as a natural and contextual way to build links. 2) It's has a viral impact, a lot of small online publshers will pick up the release article giving it a boost of natural links More natural links = Google Love :)

Designing a theme and spreading it around is a super way to create tons of links that will possible increase a lot in rankings, if the site owners take care of their websites. But after your theme will become obsolete you will have a huge dropping in backlinks... Article, Press release and guest posting I think are the most reliable ways of building backlinks.

The three you mentioned are indeed excellent ways of getting backlinks. However, I also agree with Gabriel with the posting of press releases. If you are able to post a press release on a quality press release website, once its posted, it can have immediate effects on news search on Google.

Very good post. I like the strategy with free WP theme. With some outsource programmers it should cost no more then $400-$800, but is worth it for the long run. The same I think applies for plugins, as you will get traffic and backlinks in the same time. However, since there are tons of free WP themes, you need to create a really good one, in order to benefit from it.

using the TC strategy is definitely a great way to gain links but its a very tedious task, you only have the links as long as your commenting, so its a short run strategy in my opinion, and not a long run strategy for backlinks. Till then, Jean

The WP theme strategy sound great, but you need to keep the theme compatible with the current WP version. People will, of course, uninstall the theme if it's no longer compatible after a Wordpress update. Also: I see so many great themes with links pointing to insurance or gambling sites. I will never install those on my blogs.

Wonderful article! I agree that being in the Top Commentator will help. The problem is that you need to post good comments on the site for it to be approved by the admins and second you need to comment on the site in each article, which of course is not a bad thing because you learn something from the well-written blog such as this.

Thanks for the tips, though I do 2 of them, the first one is actually a bit too complex, because after theme has been created you still have to promote it, either through your blog or some other way of promotion, and I would like to add, find a way to always link some your blog post and not just the blog homepage...

You can get backlinks by commenting on other people’s blogs. First, though, you have to figure out whether the blogs will let you have a “do follow” link. By default the most popular blog platform, WordPress, inserts a “no follow” attribute into blog comments. Most bloggers don’t understand this or care, and so they don’t change it.

some theme designers get greedy and encrypt the links .. its not a proper way to get backlinks ... you are forcing someone to link to you .... so i never support this ...

Hi "Iphone 4 Jailbreak", Thank u for your comment. It is very common practice that when u are using some theme, software or application for free, you are asked not to remove the owner's link. So, it is the right of theme designers to get a link from the people who are going to use their free stuff. If anyone don't want to use their theme, then he/she is allowed, but it is immoral to remove the link. So as a conclusion, i just want to say that it is not correct to remove the link of the designer from the theme and it is also very true if link is encrypted. What is the wrong if a designer asks just for a link in return of a superb theme and u are not forced to use their theme too? thanks, Imran.

yes , the wrong thing is encrypting the links so that you cannot remove it ... if something is free , be it free from all restrictions ... rest leave it on the user if they want to keep the links or remove them ..... im sure still they will get good baclinks

Awesome tips Imran! Especially the top commenters point. However what i notice is, some bloggers reset their top commenters LOL. In this case, i prefer creating article, submitting them to ezines, and get backlinks, but permanent one, and not "temporary".

Let's just say for seo putting url to site is very easy to do but difficult to find targeting sites that has dofollow pages. It'll take be months to see your pagerank. These is definitely notes on page rank in seo. Thank You Very Much.

One of the most difficult factors to get around is the "nofollow" attribute on comment links. It is well worth checking the policy of the site regarding this before you spend too much time commenting. Oh, and make sure the post you are commenting on is relevant to your site :-)

Good article. For a new website like mine, I find it difficult to get directory links. I registered for a ton of links and can only find two actual backlinks.
