Wordpress.org has launched the latest wordpress version 2.9, if you are running your blog on any other version I recommend you to upgrade to Wordpress 2.9, keeping your wordpress updated to the latest version is one of the best security measures of preventing your blog from being hacked.

Some of the new features include :

– A Trash Bin concept for comments and posts , you can undo any comment from the trash bin if you accidentally happen to delete it. It’s a good enhancement feature that has been included in the new version.

– Quick Edit has been included for comments, this feature help you to edit your users comments and upload it. I am not sure what the objective of this is and why should you have an option to edit comments ? Let us know if you have figured this out.

– Empty Spam : Another great feature to be included in this version. Unlike the earlier version you don’t have to delete spam comments page by page. One click of the Empty Spam tab will deleted all your spam comments, but I recommend you to check every page and then delete spam comments as a lot of times there are genuine comments that get included in spam comments.

Finally wordspress 2.9 also arrived for which we waited so long but I am not going to upgrade it instantly. This new version is looking very nice. I 'll definitely try to download this new the version. There is one thing in new version which is very helpful for me. In this version i 'll be able to restore the deleted comments. Its very appealing thing for me.

Word Press is an amazing software. Version 2.9 have many extra and functional features that are missed in the previous ones. I am now happy to get Word Press 2.9. Nice results are obtained and my work looks more precise now.

Do you have any problems with the spam folder in wordpress 2.9? For my personal blog... after I installed wordpress 2.9 whenever I hit "empty spam" it times out and only removes a small amount of the spam in the folder. I also noticed that it causes my server to overload too. Any suggestions? And does it happen to you or anyone? Till then, Jean

Thanks for the new version of wordpress, I'm downloading it. There is nothing better right now, html, and jumla sucks compare to wordpress.
