America celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day this week – Martin Luther King (MLK) was an American activist and a well know figure in the African – American civil rights movement. He gave one of the most influential and powerful speeches as an activist – “I have a dream speech”. The speech went on to become one of the most powerful speeches in the history of the world. MLK was assassinated in 1968, his words are still as powerful even after fifty years when they were first voiced.
