Good Morning Sunday: David Blaine – How I held my Breath for 17 minutes

An average human can hold his breath for about 2 minutes. According to neuroscience holding your breath beyond six minutes can cause serious brain damage.

David Blaine is an illusionist and a well know magician, know best for his high profile stunts of defying physically and mental endurance.

In 2008, David set a new world record for breath-holding at 17 minutes and 4 seconds, during a live telecast of The Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago.

In this Ted Video he tells us how he was inspired to try such a stunt, all the different tricks he tried (which failed) while performing the feat and how he finally clocked 17 minutes and 4 seconds underwater without breathing.

I was completely mesmerized after watching this Ted video. It’s one of those ‘death defying’, ‘jaw dropping’ talks. I love David’s approach to life, fun and casual but authoritative and passionate, it reflects in the video.

Very Inspiring, Very Dangerous.

Have a Super Sunday and a Great Week Ahead 🙂

An extraordinary human do these kind of things because it's really impossible to do and there is a lot of thing to learn which can convert impossible things into possible.
