There are over 600 million people on Facebook, and 4 out of 5 Americans have a Facebook profile. Facebook is a marketer’s dream because it allows you to connect with a lot of people at the same time, quickly and easily. And it allows you to do extremely targeted marketing to people who are already interested in the things that you have to sell to them.
It gives you great opportunities for community building and more. That’s why so many companies are putting up Facebook profiles and amassing thousands of followers. And the same tools that big companies use to connect with their customers socially are at your fingertips as well.
As a network marketer, your whole business relies on being able to form, maintain, and guide your relationships with your friends, family, and organization members, so Facebook is the perfect tool to help you achieve your goal of building your customer base and mentoring new network marketers.
Connect
Facebook is a great place to connect with potential customers and new recruits. You can use your existing profile or create a separate Facebook profile for your network marketing activities. Setting up a company profile is quick, easy, and free. And once you’ve created it, you can invite all your business contacts to join—both customers and fellow network marketers. Then you can easily communicate with everyone at the same time. And everyone you invite can invite their friends as well—at the click of a button!
Stay in Touch
People will only follow your network marketing page on Facebook if they see value in it. Don’t just post about the number of sales you’re making. Rather, post about upcoming deals and specials, new product lines, promotions, and links to learn more about your products and joining the network marketing ranks. Keep in touch with your followers by encouraging comments and responding to followers when they have a question. Facebook makes all these things easy. It’s as if Facebook was made for network marketing.
Promote
Beyond keeping your page up to date and connecting with your followers, make sure you promote your page as much as possible to bring new customers and potential salespeople into the fold. You can start by posting a link to your Facebook profile on your personal webpage or blog, and encouraging others to do so as well. Then you can even buy ad space on Facebook. I know that sounds expensive, but with Facebook you set how much you are willing to pay to reach out to potential clients and customers, and it does the rest.
Network marketing can sometimes be grueling work because it relies so heavily on personal relationships. But Facebook can make your life much, much easier, by giving you the tools to maintain and create new relationships all in one handy spot.
