Is it worth outsourcing your business ?

Have you ever tried doing every little thing about your web business on your own ie. designing a logo, coding your website, doing SEO, generating content, doing social media, networking with other bloggers and internet marketers, resizing images, hosting. I can go on and on about the different work related initiatives to build a successful web business.

How many things have you tried to do and after wasting countless number of hours on it decided that it was not that important for your web business and your business could do without it.

Let me tell you the truth, I’ve done it all the time. Tried to design a logo, tried to host my site, tried to code a part of the blog and a lot of other things for which I had no expertise. The result was a waste of time and zero output. A lot of times I even messed up my blog trying to do things on my own.

My friend John Reese just posted an amazing video about outsourcing called Instant Leverage, its absolutely FREE to watch filled with amazing content. If you have been trying to make it on your own all this time, stop it because success is a team effort and no one can do it by themselves. Here is where outsourcing plays an important part.

In the FREE video John shares :

– Awesome websites that you can use to find people to hire for $300 a month ( full time )
– The magical “not-an-iPad” device that turns ideas into auto-pilot cash flow.
– How to recruit the best outsourcing talent for you web business.
– How John lost more than $10,000 and why you should avoid outsourcing firms at all costs.

Outsourcing is definitely a 'necessary evil' for many today. Few can be good at many different things but most are only expertized in certain tasks and they are better off sticking to doing that what they know how to do well and let those who're better off at other tasks manage those tasks. Till then, Jean

I'll watch the video. We've always been self-employed and have learned long ago to hire folks to do what they do best, and pay for their services doing what we do best. .-= Colleen´s last blog ..Happy Mothers Day, ~ The Lane Real Estate Team :) =-.

I would like to add that outsourcing gives many people a good source of income and employment. You'd be helping a lot if you decide on outsourcing your work. You should be careful though in choosing who to hire. .-= Julius´s last blog ..Rosa Parks Is Not Done Teaching Us =-.

Outsourcing is really critical for any business, but you gotta be careful with it at the same time, and properly strategize your outsourcing. Sometimes outsourcing is the easy thing to do, but sometimes in the long run it may not be worth it. So I would say it differs from person to person... from company to company. But if you can find a combination that works for you, then outsourcing is really good :D

When I started my online business I made the common mistake of trying to do everything myself. Sure I was able to get most things done eventually, but it took a very long time. It took my business a lot longer to get going because of that wasted time. Also, if I had outsourced a lot of those tasks, I likely would've got better results. So now I am trying to play catch up as I try to find some good freelance employees to work with.

I did outsource some of my work to freelancer such as content creation (Not for my main blog, only for micro niche sites), logo design, social bookmarking services and etc. As for my main blog, I'll do all the works for it because I believe that it's better to write everything myself and build the brand carefully. Anyway, outsourcing some of the tasks would save a lot of time. Time is gold! Regards, Lee .-= Lee Ka Hoong@Blogger Theme´s last blog ..50 Free Best And Outstanding Blogger Templates =-.

Outsourcing is good because it allows other talented people to step in and contribute to your website as well. While it's nice to have full control over your website, it can burn you out.
