Mark Zuckerberg is a happy man and the world just became happier.
Mark and wife Priscilla Chan announced birth of their daughter Max by pledging 99 % of his wealth to charity, this amount to approx $45 billions to social causes around the globe.
In an emotional letter on Facebook to his new born daughter Max, Mark and Priscilla penned down their thoughts on the positives and negatives about life and growing up in today’s world. They talk about making the world a better place to live for their daughter and for the children around the world.
How communities and technologies can help in bridging the gap between the rich and poor, between the health and disease, between innovation and social change in society.
The Chang Zuckerberg initiative will focus on promoting child equality, curing disease and connecting & building communities around the globe. In this year itself the Chan Zuckerberg initiative has donated $125 million to charity.
A few week before the birth of Max, to-be Dad Mark and to-be Mom Prisilla spoke about how they would go to any extent to improve their daughter’s life and the life of children around the globe.
A few weeks before Max’s birth, Priscilla and Mark took a morning to reflect and record their hopes for their daughter and all children of her generation.
