Opera’s new browser update has a free VPN enabled feature

Opera seems to be battling for mind space between browser giants ie.Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explore, however don’t count it out. The recent Opera update has a very cool feature that will want you to download the browser and use it to surf the net.

The new update comes with a built in free VPN feature – how awesome 🙂

All you need to do is switch it on and off with a click, there is no need to sign up for this feature – if you wish to enable it, you need to switch it from the settings. Once it’s switched on it can help you browser between virtual locations – US, Canada and Germany. There are only three locations as of now with more being added over a period of time.

The VPN is a free feature with no set up or access fee and comes with a 256 bit encryption. I wonder how this move will impact establish VPN players, however its too early to speculate on this, lets hope to see Opera addinng more locations to the product.
