Oprah reaches 1 million followers on Twitter in less than 30 days

Oprah is now the fastest millionaire on Twitter (fastest with one millionaire followers on Twitter), in less than a month after joining Twitter and sending her first tweet, Oprah Winfrey has reached 1 million followers.

She has sent only 42 tweets in this one month all of them via the Web. It was a silent finish for Oprah unlike the publicity and fanfare a month ago when Ashton Kutcher beat CNN to be the first 1st millionaire (1st with one millionaire followers on Twitter ). Kutcher now has 1.74 million followers, Twitter trends suggest he’ll reach 2 million followers in the next 10 days. CNN’s has 1.46 million followers. More celebrities and companies are realising the potential of Twitter and the need build a community of like minded people

Twitter can be a great tool to market your website, blog or personality if you know need to build a Twitter following and converse with them on a daily basis.

If you are famous than you can gain the followers instantly and these are the perfect example of that. But to gain followers for like us its bit lengthy and laborious jobs. Putting useful post and other things so that people can benefit from that.

That's too many followers to even imagine.. that's incredible! and in such a short space of time! Why does Ashton Kutcher have so many followers? He's not really prominent in a lot of the Hollywood movies these days - I guess he's on twitter to promote himself.. he obviously does it well

I'm amazed at the popularity of Twitter. It seems to have just exploded recently. Seems to have left the traditional blogosphere in the dust. Makes me feel a bit behind the times already! I love blogging, and the blogosphere. It's informative, useful, enjoyable to do. You can go into things in detail. But I just don't understand the appeal of Twitter. This is a perfect example of the reach and pull that Twitter has over people of all ages. If you compare the three mentioned here, CNN, Ashton Kutcher, Oprah, all three cater to varying audiences.
