Good Morning Sunday: Short & Powerful Speech by Coca Cola CEO – Bryan Dyson

Bryan Dyson, the former CEO of Coca Cola gave this short and very powerful speech on work and life balance. The key lesson to a happy life are very evident in this powerful speech.

“Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them – Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit and you’re keeping all of these in the air.

You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls – Family, Health, Friends and Spirit – are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it.

Work efficiently during office hours and leave on time. Give the required time to your family, friends and have proper rest. Value has a value only if its value is valued.”

–Brian G. Dyson
President and CEO, Coca-Cola Enterprises during his speech at the Georgia Tech 172nd Commencement Address Sept. 6, 1996

What are your thoughts on this one ?

Have a Super Sunday and a great week ahead 🙂

Wow, it's very inspirational to hear from such a successful CEO. He makes some great points about balancing work, friends, and family that really make sense. It can be easy to lose focus on what really matters in life and get too wrapped up in work. Thanks for sharing this! ~Jeremy

"value has a value only if its value is valued." - just a killer quote. Most people loose it when it comes to keeping their spirit high,i guess.
