Social Media one of the biggest parts of internet life; with millions upon millions of us use Facebook and Twitter, among many others! I hope to show you some of the best Apps available for Social Media , at least as far as Micro Blogging Instant Messaging and Regional based ones go!
1 ) Probably one of the social media Apps that has really come out on top for the Instant messaging is Fring. Now originally I hadn’t even heard of this but some recommended it to me. I had to go and research it for myself, and it is brilliant.
Quite simply Fring brings together all of your Social Media instant messaging services like Skype, Twitter, MSN and others, and you can monitor them all under one application! You can colour code the lists so you know which is which, and it is very easy and simple to use. Although you cannot manage the individual accounts from in here, you can still talk to people from different Instant Messaging services!
2 ) Nimbuzz was then another one that I discovered after doing some digging around! This works in the same way as Fring, but in my opinion has a better interface and it can also blend in more instant messaging services. Other instant messaging that can be plugged in also includes the Facebook chat, AIM and VoIP calls via Wi-Fi. You can also edit contact details through Nimbuzz, and things look a lot brighter I know aesthetics don’t count for much, but it does look better!)
3 ) For Location based ones, I can only really recommend “Twinkle”. Twinkle allows you to update your local presence across your favourite Social Media programs like Twitter and Facebook.
Basically it updates exactly where you are and what time; you can also send pictures and chat with anyone in your local area. The reason I don’t like these things, is because they are; as suggested perfect for “wierdo’s” to find out where you are, and when you’re not a home!
4 ) Onto Micro blogging and the first of two for Twitter. This one is EchoFon. A great App that allows you to log into your twitter account and control everything “Twitter Like” from one area. It loads up fast, has no noticeable flaws and seems to work perfectly. You can follow, un follow, message and edit your account all from this application.
5 ) The Next Twitter App is very similar, but called TwitterFone. Practically the same thing, and with almost an identical layout, I thought that I had better mention this one as well, so that it didn’t get left out!
6 ) For the Social Networks obviously we have to kick off with Facebook. The Facebook App is perfect in every way for the iPhone. Everything that you want to do on Facebook you can do through this App.
It is extremely well known across the iPod and iPhone, and is one of the most downloaded Apps. Message people, upload images, update your status, go onto other peoples pages, edit your account and read your inbox, including much more!
7 ) For those of you that prefer a more professional social network then definitely get the LinkedIn App. You can go in and view your profile from anywhere and even edit most of your account, and although you can’t change everything on here, there is still al lot that you can view and edit, definitely worth a try!
