Track Affiliate Links Easily With Link Trackr

Affiliate Marketing is getting more and more complex with Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. Apart from marketing the products via social networking sites you also have other channels like your email list and your website. With a plethora of sites and channel measuring the affiliate activity becomes a difficult task. You don’t want to waste your time promoting affiliate products on a network that does not yield any clicks or has a very low click thro rate.

I recently purchased an affiliate tracking tool called Link Trackr, its a smart tool with a slick interface to monitor every affiliate link. With this tool you can create hundreds and even thousands of affiliate links and measure every affiliate link to understand which affiliate products are doing well and which are not. You can also shorten URLs for your websites and promote it on Facebook or Twitter or other social media sites.

The initial URL will be your username but you can change that to a customized domain of your choice and I recommend you to do that when you register.

Below is a snapshot of the link I added for ThesisDiscounts.com and here is the clocked link for the same. You can click the link and see that the URL has been changed to reflect the cloaked version.

Once you fill in the details you can market the link across social media sites and networks, the below image shows the number of clicks that the link received when I promoted it across my network.

Features of Link Trackr:
Some of the features of this tool are mentioned below:
– Link cloaking, link tracking, link masking

– WordPress plugin that converts keywords to your tracking links
– You can use the links on all types of sites blogs, email links, PPC ads, social networks etc.

Good find ZK. This plugin is perfect for anyone with a blog or website that currently has direct affiliate links. It's great that is cloaks and masks the links, as well as providing tracking stats.

Oops I used my wrong username. Why is it that some blogs auto-save commenter details while others always reset the form fields?

Can it handle incoming links from affiliates with their conversions/sales?

The Linktrackr dashboard will show you the clicks for an affiliate link and help you determine which affiliates work best for you.

Thanks for the review ZK! LinkTrackr is more of an affiliate marketer's tool, not a merchant tool for recruiting affiliates etc. We will have conversion testing coming up soon..

If you are serious about increasing your sales and saving time, then you gotta be using some type of affiliate link tracking software. It makes it so much easier to change out links and you'll know exactly what your visitors are clicking and what they aren't.

I have used link tracker before and it is a great program. The platform is user friendly and easy to understand. I highly recommend it if you are getting into more advance analytics.

I think link tracker service is a good service. I never heard of any negative feedback or drawback of this service. I think one must try this service if he/she has lot of affiliate links on blog. The wordpress plugin for this service enables the use of this service more user friendly.

LinkTracker looks really powerful ZK, I've been using normal URL programs out there, and it really doesn't show as much information as LinkTracker appears to, this is quite interesting for sure! Till then, Jean

For some reason I am always a little paranoid of software like this. It just seems too easy for them to randomly replace my affiliate links with their own. I'm sure the software is actually safe, but there is always that worry in the back of my mind.

This is a great program for tracking your links and I like the fact that it masks them for you. Its for a good price too. Thanks for the share.

Hi ZK, I'm currently looking for a affiliate tracking solution. I've tried linktrackr but eventually "grew out of it". What I'm looking for is a link tracking solution that tracks conversions - all the way to that particular link. The only one solution I've found so far is linkshiftr - but that solution doesn't allow for custom domain (there's a crude work around though). It also doesn't have linktrackr's viral bar feature, which is nice, not essential for me. What are your thoughts? You may know something I don't. Cheers, Andre

Hey Andre, we'll definitely have a conversion tracking and split testing feature up in the next few months. I hope to have you using our service again then. Meanwhile you may want to try HyperTracker.com - very old school but yeah they have conversion tracking.
Andre September 8, 2010 - 11:57 pm
That's awesome to hear, Gobala. When you guys have those features up and running, I'll definitely take a look again. Cheers

Does this plugin have any obvious benefits over "link hopper" (which i currently use)? I know Google does not like cloaked URL's and just wondered if this plugin may get around the threat of Google imposing some sort of penalty at all?
Gobala Krishnan April 15, 2011 - 1:57 am
You can choose to make the links "noindex"

As one who is getting deeper into affiliate marketing, it does seem to offer some great tracking tools, as I have been wondering how to keep track of the various affiliates I’ve started to use.
