4 Effective Content Marketing Strategies

With all the ruckus that’s been revolving around content marketing, everyone’s using the term to connect their search engine optimization practices all over the web. It seems like everyone’s just jumped into the bandwagon and ordered tons of articles to offer them to “guest blogs”.

Is it all an article war? Or is there something much more than these typical write-ups?

There are many strategies to employ in content marketing; it’s not all informative articles. If you had run out of bullets and you’re seeking some refuge of information, let me share some tactics you can use to recharge your game:

Guest Blogging

Let’s start off with the most famous yet most abused content marketing strategy. Guest blogging truly brings in results; because of the social engagement and the way that the Web is now a friendlier place to be in, guest posting has been the most commonly used content marketing technique.

It’s a mutual agreement between two parties. Think of your prospect as a channel to widen your audience; guest blogging can also build your brand’s authority, making it trustworthy enough for potential consumers to come down the funnel.

Interviews

Promoting other people for your welfare is also a nice way to include in your strategy. Interviews are often most neglected due to the strain it may cost for the author for an interview takes a lot of preparation and guts to interview top people in the industry.

Since exposure to them is a good thing, they’ll promote your interview and you’ll get your share of audience as well. More audience means increased exposure for your brand and you may have your own share of potential customers as well.

Blogging

Being consistent in blogging on your website initiates activity with your followers and may drive more audience through social media avenues. Not only does it build up your website, but it also gives you a an edge in the search engines; you’ll be hitting up people who search for content related to what you’ve written.

Blogging builds up authority and even branding; it gives you more credit to other blogs as a guest blogger.

Images and Videos

If you’re looking for ideas for a viral campaign, the easiest way to promote as such is via images and videos. Images and videos are easily digested and easily shared by the crowd. It’s a breather from the long, dragging content; it’s a break from the black and white.

Nowadays, the most popular medium of sharing thoughts via images is what we call infographics; images that share bits of information in an artistic way. Meanwhile, videos and podcasts are great avenues if you want to provide information and the opportunity to expound on the topic.

It does not only create opportunities for discussion, but it also increases the time your visitors stay on your website.

Though these are basic things that everyone is supposed to know and follow but its these that we so often miss or neglect and that’s what, i suppose, differentiates a good blogger from a great one!

However ZK, that is another flaw that Google should deal with. They've been very strict; but people still do not get what natural, organic link building is. I suppose these techniques that I've shared will tremendously contribute to the link building community.

That's true. A part of your target audience would be visual learners, so that approach is valuable.

I've found that including interviews on our blog is a great way to gain exposure. The person interviewed will share the link with their following and are also more likely to link to your other content naturally to return the favor. It's also a great way to expand your own knowledge.

Thanks for your insight, Nick!
