Use Google’s URL shortener to shorten your links

An easy way to shorten long and ugly URL links is by using a shortener link. This link helps decode long URLs into short URLs that can be used in tweets, apps or in email communication where the URL destination remains the same. These links are also used by websites to send users to different URLs within a website or on other domains.

Google announced that it’s URL shortening service Goo.gl can now be used by developers and website owners to send users to different URLs from their app or desktop versions of websites.

The service will also help Google index apps just like it does for desktop website, app developers can now use the short URL service from Google to index their app in search results.

Goo.gl also comes with a comprehensive measuring tool that will help you monitor all clicks from the shortened URL. If you’re using any other shortener you may want to change your links to Goo.gl, as shortener URL links do not get featured in search results. By using Goo.gl you’ll have the advantage of your links being index by Google and pages showing in Google’s search results.

Are you using Goo.gl , what shortener links do you use on for your app or website ?
