Where To Get Inspiration For Your Next Blog Post

What do you manage your blog for? Does it tell the world about your thoughts, or you just have it for your business promotion?

No matter, what the reason of your blogging is – you should always think of its content. What to write about to attract all readers’ attention? How to write a post that all readers will like and share with others?

The best and only tip here is to think of your writing as a way to achieve something, not to beat others. Make a creative and really inspiring writing be your goal, and you will see how easy and pleasant the process of writing a blog post will become!

But even if you can’t live without writing, some moments appear when you just have no inspiration to write, and you do not even know what to write about actually.

And it appears to be so difficult to find a right source of inspiration, because you are just stuck. So, here we are – those ones who will give you some hints about inspiration for your next blog post.

.

Nature

We bet you live in urban areas. Actually, most writers live there. You must admit that it’s quite difficult to be inspired by skyscrapers, hundreds of cars, and people who are always in a hurry.

It is time to visit a countryside! Just walk around, listen to birds, feel all nature smells, observe beautiful landscapes – all these things can be a very powerful source of inspiration. You will be surprised how quickly new ideas will start coming to your head: just do not forget to write them down!

Children

We do not speak about your own kids here, though they can certainly be the great source of inspiration for you. We speak about children in general.

As we all know, they have a totally different mindset, and they imagine the world around them in a totally different way. Just spend some time observing their behavior with adults and everything around. Kids’ approach to the world differs from ours so much!

Big chances are that young individuals will help you come up with a really unexpected but creative idea.

Music

Have you ever thought why music always appear in all most crucial movies scenes? It awakes some feelings and associations in our minds, that help us sympathize a protagonist for example.

The proved fact is that music awakes different triggers in our mind, even when we listen to a song which we don’t really like.

So, just try to listen to different music genres, as they can provide you with new ideas even when you do not expect that.

Books

The 21st century is difficult to call the perfect time for books, because a few people read today. Sad, but true. Technologies, cinematography, and cool gadgets do not leave books a chance to stay afloat, but the truth is that all this staff can’t substitute reading.

When you read a book and take a look at an author’s style and thoughts, you imagine everything in your own way which can become a great source of inspiration for you. Moreover, it’s your perfect chance to create something new after you’ve got inspired by classical pieces of writing.

Experience

Why should you sit and try to come up with an idea for writing when you always can write about your own experience? The truth is, a few writers like sharing it, and it is unclear why they do so.

Your experience is the great inspiration source for writing, especially when you write about your NEW experience! Don’t be afraid of trying anything new, as your emotions can help you much with your inspiration searches.

We do not want to say that you should try any extreme sports for example: just find what you’ve never done, and describe it after trying.

A Stranger

A writer is able to find a new experience everywhere. Even when you talk to your friends, they can come up with something you can use as a perfect idea for writing afterwards.

Anyway, sometimes a moment appears, that your friends can’t give you a new piece of inspiration, because you know them very well, and there is nothing new about them to use. Talk to a stranger then! Yes, it’s easier than you think.

His information and experience can help you much because the big chances are that this person will tell you about something you could not even imagine existed.

Certainly, you can’t just meet a person in the street and start talking to him as if you are friends.

But what do we have the Internet for? Join some social medias, websites, or forums to meet new people and talk to them online. If you prefer live communication, you can always join some club of interests.

Creativity

Even if you are very good with writing, this is not a reason to ignore other fields. Try drawing or playing a guitar for example, become creative elsewhere. Your new hobbies (cooking, flower arranging, etc.) can be a creative spark you’ll need to get inspiration for further writing.

Maybe you have a person who inspires you much? Just talk to him, or read his works and check what he thinks on this or that subject.

Try to view it from as many angles as possible, and you can come up with some very interesting ideas for your future writing.

Love

Do you love what you do? Do you always write with pleasure? Do you consider writing your both work and lifestyle? If you really enjoy what you do – you will be really good with that.

That is why if you do not love writing, maybe there is no need to continue doing that, because you will hardly create something worthy.

Just love what you do, get pleasure from it, enjoy the process of writing itself, be a confident writer – and ideas will find you themselves.

I found this shared on Kingged.com and I "kingged" it. I have to say it's really very well written because that's a problem facing lots of people - not writing posts but writing "creative" posts as you put it! The most important tip I got from this is the reading of books tip. There's no doubt that the more one reads, the more ideas one gets. Therefore, it's safe to say that a good writer is a good reader and a good reader is a good writer, :) Again, very well written. Thanks!

As many bloggers and writers, I have the promlem of inspiration absence as well, so, I hope that such a post can help some of us find sources for new great ideas for our posts)) All the best, Alex

Funny, just yesterday I found out that I’m better at what I do when I’m listening to music. I know that’s a little off the topic, I just remembered now that you’ve mentioned music as a source of inspiration for creating content. And yes, I agree, music can definitely be a source of inspiration as well as experiences, books, and nature. Have tried these and it works. :) I left this comment on Kingged.com, the IM social bookmarking and content aggregator site, where this post has been shared. http://www.kingged.com/where-to-get-inspiration-for-your-next-blog-post/

Hi Riza! Yes, it is always better for me to write articles when music plays in my earphones )) Nothing disturbs you, and you can concentrate on writing. Though some of my friends can't do any creative job when there are some noices outside. So, so many people - so many methods to find inspiration needed))

A background music won't work for me, I tried it already. I easily get distracted, especially if I like the song. Why? Because I sing with it. LOL. So I think, I'll go with Nature and Experience. No doubt, nature itself is inspiring. You can find the inner peace and inspiration you need for your post. Experience, on the contrary, is best in telling a story that you actually experienced. And, more often than not, readers can relate to it. Inspiring ideas. I found this post shared on Kingged.com, the Internet marketing social site, and I "kingged" it and left this comment.

Thank you for passing by and sharing your thoughts with us, Joanne! Yes, I've told already, that music does not work for everyone! It works for me for example, but it should be quiet and relaxing, not hard rock or heavy metal! LOL!)) But some of my froemds find it quite disturbing, and they prefer working when there is nothing and nobody around.

I think I will go with experience and write it like a story, people like posts like that. When this one fails, I will explore other options that you have listed. Thanks for sharing Alex.
Alex Strike October 21, 2013 - 3:33 am
You are always welcome, August! I hope that some of these methods will definitely work for you))

I love the list of different ways to find inspiration for a blog. I normally write based on experience!
Alex Strike October 21, 2013 - 3:34 am
Thank you, Nancy! Experience is a great source of inspiration, because you perfectly know what you tell about)) I try this method very often lately

It can be tough to maintain creativity when working to a schedule, and that is why I am now doing many of the tips here - we can find inspiration anywhere! I have learned to make notes while out doing other things!
Alex Strike October 21, 2013 - 3:37 am
You are right, Kostas! I perfectly know how difficult it may be to do a creative job when you have a schedule, and you know that you should finish your article by 5pm for example but there is no inspiration around... That is why I try to use different methods to find new ideas and desire to write, otherwise I am stuck ))
Metz October 19, 2013 - 1:07 am
Nature, music, books and love work for me. A peaceful place, a good and mellow music while reading books is relaxing, PLUS LOVE will make you feel so inspired. Can you imagine? It's been relieved. LOL! So I want it to put into the table. I know that it will really help bloggers (but only for those who can relate in my sentimental). Nice post! Inspiring indeed, Alex! I love it! In the news aggregator and social bookmark site for Internet marketers - kingged.com, the above comment was left.
Alex Strike October 21, 2013 - 3:38 am
Thank you Metz! I must admit, that love does not work for me at all, because I start thinking of my crush all the time, and it becomes too difficult to concentrate. LOL! But music and nature work very well!))

I think I will go with experience and write it like a story, people like posts like that. When this one fails, I will explore other options that you have listed. Thanks for sharing Admin.
Alex Strike October 21, 2013 - 3:41 am
You are right, people like stories based on a personal experience of a blogger, because it is much more interesting to read something "natural" than a boring list of something everybody knows already)) I am glad you liked my post! Kind regards, Alex

This seems to be a hot topic lately and I couldn't agree more with the advice you offer. I also agree that reading is a great source of inspiration. Readers are leaders and leaders are readers. I guess the same goes for bloggers!
Alex Strike October 21, 2013 - 3:43 am
You are right, Shikha. I've seen many articles on this topic lately, and it means that this is something people (espacially creative people) need today. And it is great, that we have a chance to check various sources, and find tips and tricks that will work for us better than others))
