Good News for Tweeters, you’re tweets will now be visible in Google’s search results. Google and Twitter are working together to on tweets that can be shown in real time to users searching for information.
So, if you’re tweeting about Super Bowl chances are that it will be visible on Google when someone searches for Super Bowl.
According to the Bloomberg report, this feature will be live in the first six months of this year. Twitter has been working to make changes in its algo whereby search engines can pick up hashtags in real time, the engines have already crawled close to 50,000 hashtaged pages.
Google will have enhanced and real time search results making it useful for searches. In 2009 Bing had launched BingTweets by showing real time tweets on Bing.
With Twitter looking to impress shareholders and drive share value, this could be a good move.
