Yeah so many new competitor came to this field but Nokia is still the choice of masses. Because they build phones for every kind of segment. From rich to middle to poor. Every one can get the benefit from this.
I wish I read about it earlier. I agree with Per Fence that others can’t even compete with Nokia becoz its platform is so smooth and friendly to developers that they are open to work on wide range of applications and games.

Good to see them doing something like this, but hasn’t iPhone and the like pretty much got the market cornered when it comes to applications on a hand held device? I mean, Nokia to me make good phones (or they did in the past) but I would never think of purchasing something from Nokia to run applications/software on a hand held device.
Nokia still rules the heart of million indians……and has been ranked top brand in india for 2009 also…
Nokia failed bigtime with their n-gage and to me that seems like it was an attempt at something beyond just a cell phone. I like their phones, but that is about all.
