My teachers in school always told me that I was an introvert, shy and hesitant to participate in an school activities or social events.
When my parents were called for parent- teacher meets during my school days, they were always told that no company would hire their son, he cannot express his ideas and participate in groups. And companies don’t employe people with introverted personality ?
Thankfully my parents never paid a lot of attention to what the teachers said in school about me. But it was a fact I was in introvert during my school days.
Did you know that introverts possess an incredibility unique advantage ?
According to Susan Cain – Solitude is a crucial ingredient often to spark creativity, she gives great examples of famous inventions and theories by introverted personality ie. Darwin and Steve Wozniak (the co founder of Apple) who did most of his work in a cubicle at HP.
These deep thinkers have the power to spark ideas, inventions and revolutions, then why does modern society discourage them from behaving in an introverted manner.
Susan believes that modern society needs both types of personalities to progress (introvert and extroverts) and we need to give great freedom to introverts to have them come up with unique ideas and inventions. And lets stop the madness for constant group work. Also check out Susan’s book: Quite: Power to the Introverts
Have a Happy Sunday and a great week ahead π

This is such an inspirational post.
I consider myself as an introvert, but after listening to Susan, that feeling of introvert is totally gone.
Thanks for sharing.

I remember when I am in grade school, i am very shy to participate in every discussion even though i know exactly the answers.I keep all my ideas and knowledge in me. I agree to Susan, most of the deep thinker has more great ideas that may help in some ways.
Good informative video, ZK! It’s really inspirational too. I am somewhat introvert too I think. π
The message that Susan Cain gives in the video should inspire everyone. Power to all of us:)
Very inspirational and motivational post! I really love to read a post like this.. It made to more understand introverts.. π
Although I am not introverts, but I feel this is a good article to share with my introverts friends. Thanks.
Susan Cain really is very amazing person! π She is really a great source of inspiration to further understand introverts.
I admit that I myself am an introvert especially when I was a little girl. I only have a few good friends in my circle, but I treasure them dearly. When I was at school, I am able to focus really well on my studies when Iβm alone in my room, no music, no TV, no radio turned on (that time, the Internet isnβt as popular as now). So I strongly agree that introverts can think up of ingenious things when they are in complete solitude.
