Support Blog Action Day 2009 Climate Change

Blog Action Day is an annual event that unites bloggers from all over the world to blog about the same issue on the same day, an incredible movement of bloggers from the remotest parts of the world to raise awareness and trigger a global discussion.

Blog Action Day 2009 will be the largest ever social change event on the web summarized as “One Day, One Issue, Thousands of Voices.

The topic for Blog Action Day 2008 was to End Poverty, the topic for this years Blog Action Day is Climate Change and the date is 15 th October.

What can you do to make a difference ?

Blog action day is about mass participation, anyone is free to join and blog about the post. Register you blog on Blog Action Day and blog about the topic – Climate Change on 15 th October, there is no limit to the number of posts, type of posts and direction of thoughts and opinions.

This time I did not get a notification about the blog action day though I had got a mail two weeks back on various topics for this year. Due to lot of spam mails, even some of the important mails are being deleted :( I agree that climate change is a big issue. Global warming is an important aspect, I watched the movie "Earth" the other day, it s a Walt Disney and BBC produced documentary on how climate changes are affecting the polar bears in the artic circle and elephants in Africa.

There are a lot of things we can do even from home to help the environment, like turning off our computers when we aren't working, saving electricity, driving less often (running more errands at once), etc. Apparently eating meat isn't good for the environment, but that is a hard one for me to give up.

The jury is out on the true nature of climate change. We are actually heading into the next ice age, and global warming is not really happening. The past couple of years the average temperature of our planet have actgually DROPPED! Just Google it, interesting stuff!

Today there are so many movies on this issue. But I like The day after tomorrow. I thinks that we have to thinks about this issue very seriously otherwise what we will gives to our CHILDS.
