On the internet, your URL is your identity. Unfortunately finding the right domain name is become a tedious task as you need to search for a lot of domain names before you hit upon one that you like and is available. Most traditional domain search tools require you to search for each domain name and extension combination separately.
For example you will need to search for mydomain.com, mydomain.net, mydomain.org, mydomain.info and other extensions before you hit upon the available domain that suits your requirement.
Instant Domain Name Search:
PCNames.com makes the job easy by allowing you to search for all these domain extensions simultaneously what really sets PCNames.com apart is the Google instant type search box that shows up the availability without you having to press enter. So you can keep typing all the domain names that you have in mind and at the end of the process, you will have a list of domains that are available. Simple and Awesome 🙂
Along with a list of domains that are available, PCNames.com also shows up domains that are available for sale, premium domain names and old domain names that have become available. In most other domain search tools, you need to search these different type of domains separately. I actually hit upon a really valuable 4 year old domain while simply researching this tool.
If you are unable to come up with a good URL idea, then you are going to like the domain name suggestion tool available on PCNames.com you simply provide the base keyword and the tool will append a number of common prefixes and suffixes to it, search for their availability and then present the result to you in a table so that you can pick one that you like.
Search Bulk Domains :
If you have already completed your brainstorming process and ended up with a large number of potential URLs, then you will do well to check out the bulk search tool available on the site. You simply enter all the domain names without any extension in the tool and press search, and it will provide you the availability of each of them across a large number of domain extensions. This neat tool will save you a lot of time.
Easy Domain Registration:
Simply finding a good domain name is not good enough. You need to register it as well. On the domain results pages all the search pages, pcnames shows the price of the domain at 3 popular domain name registrars and a couple of options to get it for free by going with certain hosting providers. If you do not like any of the above registrars, then you can go through detailed reviews of a large number of domain registrars.
If you are planning to buy a domain name then check out PCNames.com. The functionality is very useful and can save you time. And best of all it’s FREE to use , you don’t have to sign up or have an account to use the site.

Thanks for the information. I have never tried PCNames before but I might give it a shot. I’ve always used WHOIS if I need to do a quick domain search along with some extra information here and there. Thanks for pointing out a quality alternative.
Yep! I heard that PCNames.com provides a good services, but here in Russian we use no.1 http://www.nic.ru domain register.
I’ve always enjoyed the various different domain search tools that have come out over the years, strange though with this one I just did a search but it said that the .net was available but it really wasn’t…
