Setting up a small business may sound a great idea to many! If you’re one such, beware of the risk as there are clear and present dangers for small business owners trying to make quick money. Capital investment is one huge risk that confronts any small business owner.
With the advancement of smartphone technology, small business owners can cut down the capital investment costs by utilizing mobile applications to the fullest.
Evolution of mobile technology and applications has intensified the comfort level of both individuals and businesses. According to recent reports, 80% of people use smartphones to access any data across the globe. From this, it is evident that desktops are no longer the best companion for many as they chain users to their desks.
I’ve listed 5 can’t miss Android applications for small businesses that can enhance the work and performance of employees remarkably.
1) QuickOffice:
80% of business users work on documents and spreadsheets to record and retrieve details and power point for presentation purposes. As the complete record of the data is stored on desktop systems, it becomes hard for any employee to modify data from a different system or location. Often, managers and team leaders confront such problems.
With the QuickOffice application on the Android device anyone can
– Easily access the data saved on documents, spreadsheets and presentations from anywhere anytime
– Modify them from the device by signing in with Google Account
2) QuickBooks:
Managing business accounts and financial needs can be off-putting and it becomes harder for the accountants to access the details from their homes or at a distant location from the office as the financial data will be saved on the desktops.
With QuickBooks app anyone can
– access, track, send invoice, review payments, etc. in a hassle-free manner.
3) Notepad:
Business people, who travel often, prepare themselves for a meeting and jot down the discussions to utilize in the near future. Presenting at conferences, seminars, and business gatherings can be grueling as you won’t have too much time left to prepare new ideas and points.
With Notepad, it is easy to make
– quick notes in no time
– search notes and save
– select font colors
– save images to separate SD folders, etc.
4) CloudPrint:
Most often employees deal with printing documents for business purposes and this can be difficult when the details are saved on smartphones. Every time they have to pass the documents to the desktops to get them printed out.
With CloudPrint anyone can easily
– print the documents from the smartphones without any hassle
– manage printers
– print webpages
– print mails, etc.
It can help employees to cut down the time from saving the documents to desktops before getting them printed.
5) Expensify:
Creating travel and business reports can be tiresome and can annoy any person handling this on your office.
With Expensify anyone can
– capture travel reports and invoices
– scan reports and invoices
It can save time, paper and money as it shortens the process of preparing travel reports in no time.

I think Colornote is a way better alternative to notepad.
There are lots of application available for the Android tablets in market in business category. We would love to see application which are optimized for tablet user experience.
