This interview is quite interesting but I still think that facebook messages are not going to end Gmail. People will still keep using the mail anyway.

I read an article a bit ago that said that most students entering college think email is archaic. I hope it isn’t going by the way side. I had one client who did nothing but text and wouldn’t pick up the phone or email. it was so annoying. What could have taken 5 minutes ended up taking hours. and nothing really got accomplished.

Mark Zuckerberg is a very intelligent man, not only did he create the worlds most popular social network but he donates some money to needy organizations. He recently donated around 1 million dollars to the newark nj school board.

He also did a cool conference via Facebook livestream. Where he answer questions about the new messaging system in facebook, emails and all that kind of stuff.

I think it’s kind of the same but condensed in a normal interview.

I also submitted for a beta invitation on facebook, and I am still waiting (beta for the messaging thingy)

When the Facebook fever only started, I did not feel quite secure about this network. Very soon, however, I realized how powerful it is and invited all friends of mine to join it. Watching “The Social Network” was the last straw the broke all my hesitations.

As for bringing Gmail to an end – I don’t believe it and I appreciate everyone who shares this opinion. Facebook may use this advanced messaging system as a pleasant addon to its services but I don’t think it’s going to substitute Google in its business mailing capabilities, such as documents sharing for instance.

Facebook offering email services? Wow, this is interesting. So there will be “email wars” that we will be expecting anytime soon 😀

Facebook may be way overstated. The value seems to be a little ridiculous right now. I think it’s time to sell Mark.

I love facebook, but I think people are putting too much stock into it. It was meant to check up on your friends and keep in touch. Not SEO or marketing. It is good to brand yourself and put your stuff out there but nothing to rely in any fashion.
