All the best,
Ian
ZK, what a great review. I have been following PPC Ian’s blog and enjoy
reading it quite a bit. There is certainly a lot of money to be made in pay
per click.
You’ve got an excellent blog here ZK! Very impressive theme, I ran thesis on my own blog but the coding that you have here is superb. Great job, and remember to thank Ian for introducing me to your blog! I subscribed to your new posts so I’ll be sure to leave a few more comments!

Hi Dino,
I am glad you like the blog, I hope to see you here often..and thanks Ian for the mention on your blog 🙂
ZK, you are welcome! Dino, great comment. Everyone, also check out Dino’s blog – he’s got a wealth of great information there.
Why do I need to be a blogger to drive PPC traffic to my affiliate landing pages? I can do so without being a blogger. Yes, may be a blog is a facade and brand building mechanism but I don’t really need one to drive PPC traffic to affiliate landing pages.
Also, I read Ian’s blog because I am an affiliate marketer who uses PPC other paid advertising methods to drive traffic. His blog is good but if somebody is a newbie in PPC, I would suggest him not to spend too much time on reading blogs. Get into a coaching forum, e.g PPC coaching affordable but provides a structured direction to using PPC and other advertising means to drive traffic for affiliate product promotion.
Ian’s blog is more slanted towards people working as a PPC staff for a corporation. He provides a new angle that is different from all other bloggers who are engaged in PPC marketing. But it is definitely not for a newbie affiliate marketer wanting to enter the PPC world
You are right , you don’t have to be a blogger to drive PPC traffic 🙂 , but it makes sense for a blogger to drive traffic via PPC to his blog posts. If a newbie can afford paying for a coaching service then that’s the best way to learn PPC or search marketing
Dotcom Note,
First and foremost, thanks for reading my blog. I sincerely appreciate it! In terms of your first point, I don’t think anyone is claiming you have to be a blogger to do PPC. It’s quite the contrary, in fact. The main reason I have a blog is to educate and help others. I had been doing PPC for over 5 years and rose to a leading authority in the industry before I launched my blog. As ZK mentions, PPC can be a great tool to drive more traffic to your blog.
In terms of your other points: You are spot on that I focus on the corporate pay per click career path. This career path has been extremely good to me. Only 6 years out of Stanford, I’m managing a HUGE team and am Director at a large public company. Moreover, I have accumulated a very lucrative portfolio of private company stock over the last 6 years. As such, I created my blog to (1) empower those already in the corporate online marketing world and (2) also to encourage those not in this field to seriously consider it! It’s an untapped niche and one that needed a voice.
Now, in terms of affiliates, I still do think they have a lot to gain from my blog. Why? I think affiliates make great candidates for this career path. Moreover, for those that want to continue in the affiliate route, I offer tactical hands-on tips to grow PPC campaigns. Those posts come along once every few weeks, and they definitely contain some serious nuggets of wealth. Moreover, I encourage affiliates to watch my 2 hour Stanford Graduate School of Business presentation where I talk at length about tactical tips.
Once again, thanks for the comment and for visiting my blog!
All the best,
Ian
