Thanks for the post and highlighting the importance of email marketing. I have been for long thinking about building an email list. It would probably help a lot in getting people back to my blog.

I am a huge fan of building up a mailing list and can see the benefits of it myself very quickly since we introduced our own but I just can’t get my head around the forms that pop up and block the whole screen when you arrive on a website. I know they are highly effective and converting users to the mailing list but I also think they would be highly effectove at annoying people who come to your blog all the time and for that reason I don’t think I would ever introduce them to be honest! Thanks for sharing this though!
The Web 1.0 pop ups were annoying, web 2.0 are tolerable and sleek 🙂 …you are right a lot of readers do find it annoying, but the fact is that it does the magic of increasing your email list..you ll have to walk the thin line here.

I’m glad you’ve had great success with Aweber. It sounds like building a list is definitely a must-do activity. Personally, I haven’t done this yet, but will now look into it.
Used the aweber form generator for a few website’s that I’ve flipped recently and I love how easy it is to use. I also love how it’s got great images related to most niche’s in today’s age, overall great tool

Aweber looks like a handy tool. I wonder why it isn’t much popular? Sometimes great things and best tools appear randomly and only with help of some luck.

I’m using Aweber at the moment and i have to say its great. Really easy to use but i have found that i want a smaller sign up box than they give and there is no way to make it smaller.
