The “NoFollow” HTML tag that most blogs have by default completely ruins the natural process of link building. I am a believer of the natural link building process that helps your site gain higher PR and higher search results on Google.
What is a “DoFollow” Blog ?
A “DoFollow” Blog is a blog that makes the natural link building process much easy and simpler by interacting with blog user leaving their comments. Google loves natural link building and enabling your blog to follow the “DoFollow” attribute will give your blog high search engine ranking.
How will I benefit from a “DoFollow” blog ?
If you enable a ‘DoFollow” blog attribute then link building becomes much easier because you get links by getting involved in the community and commenting on blogs.
You can start by submitting your blog to “DoFollow” comments blog network. This will not only give you a backlink but also will give you traffic from the blog network.
Bloggers looking to comment on “DoFollow” blogs for backlinks will land up on all the “DoFollow” blogs sites across the web and eventually your blog. Once the blogger is on your site he will have to read your post and comment on one of them leaving his blog details to get a backlink. If he likes your posts he will subscribe to your RSS feeds , thus increasing your RSS feed numbers.
How do I enable “DoFollow” for my blog ?
Then make sure you enable any spam control plugin , I would recommend using Askimet. Once you enable this you will have to personally moderate comments on your blog as a check to control spam.
I ve made my blog a “DoFollow” blog. So leave intelligent comment on my blog posts and get natural backlink that will increase your search ranking on Google.
DoFollow = Better Backlinks = Better Search Engine Results = Better Traffic = Better Revenue for your blog or website.

Do follow was a strong idea, but it seems it is loosing strength.
many blogs were do follow (like mine), but with time they changed back to no follow, only letting do follow links from plugins like comment luv or top commentator.
im nofollow anymore because my pages were having to many do follow links, this made me loose a bit on my PR. but i admit making a dofollow is still a good choice, specially if your blog is still in the beggining

Hey that’s some good stuff, it’s a good decision! I hope you will benefit from that do follow attribute. I think making a blog do follow is one of the best move. It might not be the best idea for a blog getting 1,000 + uniques a day, but otherwise it’s the way to go!

I put do follow on my blog too but I still have to approve the first 2 comments and one posts on my blog after that they don’t need approval unless they are spamming.

Dofollow blogs show that they want to reward their readers, and that’s a great thing. But there’s a downside to it — a lot of people abuse the fact that the links are not nofollow and they comment for the sake of getting links. 🙁

Nice to see this…The use of do follow blog is
.encourages quality people to leave quality comments & it also improves search engine performance
. It facilitates the purpose of linking, instead of crippling it with “No Follow”

All said, if you’re looking to promote your site as a good one to read due to the do follow aspect, it helps if you actually have a google PR doesn’t it?

We love dofollow don’t we! Many people say it can increase spam, but that’s what moderations and comment moderation is for 🙂

Great tip. Stay away from blog directories! Will definitely start commenting much more on things relating to blogging and finding a job.

Thanks for all the comments. Commenting is also a very natural way of link building v/s directory listing which is more like a forced form or a paid form to increase PR

Thanks for opening your blog to dofollow ZK. Stumbled and subscribed!
I’m assuming that when you use a plugin like commentluv, you are a dofollow blog, right? I just recently added commentluv to my blog and I have noticed a bunch of comments from people who have never commented before. I didn’t realize that they may just be looking for links…but, whatever. I think that a higher # of comments makes your blog look well-read and popular, thus increasing your chances of the reader leaving a comment. It seems hard to get people to do this. I have about 150 subscribers and yet if I get double digit comments on my posts I’m lucky.

Hi Thatcoolbroad : Welcome to the community , 150 is a good number of subscribers, the plugin will definately help to build interactivity on the post when people start to comment. Hope to see you here often 🙂

Wow..That’s a great post.
Really dofollow blogs are very helpful if not spam.
I also joined doFollow community with my blog. It is interesting to see how that affects to my traffic rates and so on.
